Course Completion for Courses completed pre 2017
Level 1 - pre 2015
- Become a TI member.
- Coaching Log: Five supervised coaching hours
- Three session planners (word version). Written plans of a session coached - 1 of each discipline. These must be signed by the supervising coach.
- Anti-Doping Education. WADA eLearning. Enroll to free eLearning here.
- First Aid Cert. Please find a list of courses here. A copy of your cert must be supplied to TI.
- Safeguard 1 - Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop
- Garda Vetting/Access NI - only required if coaching juniors or vulnerable adults, if not complete a Vetting Exemption.
- Code of Conduct - A Form 8 OR Form 10 must be supplied annually
Level 2 - PRE 2017
- Become a TI member.
- Coaching Log - 10 supervised hours
- Six session planners. Written plans of a session coached - 2 of each discipline. These must be signed by the supervising coach.
- WADA eLearning course. This is an online anti-doping course.
- Attendance at two Junior Academy or Participation day throughout the year. This not only complements the theoretical components of the course, but will provide you with the opportunity to work with TI's emerging talented athletes and world-class senior coaches
- First Aid Cert. Please find a list of courses here. A copy of your cert must be supplied to TI.
- Safeguard 1 - Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Workshop
- Garda Vetting/Access NI (incl. ID Proofing
- Code of Conduct - A Form 8 OR Form 10 must be supplied annually.
- ID Proofing - this only needs to be completed once - either a Form 8a or as part of the Access NI application.
Continued Professional Development
Coaches must maintain their qualification by attending 2 seminars or courses annually. Theses can be run by Triathlon Ireland, Swim Ireland, Cycling Ireland or Athletics Ireland.
